Only available for online tutoring.

Alex is one of our tutors. His passion for Math and Science surges past the textbooks and provide a more
insightful way to engage the world around him. Alex completed his Bachelors of Art in Physics at
Franklin & Marshall College with a minor focus in Latin American Spanish. He then went on to complete his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University. As an engineer in the field, Alex supports the local Naval Air Station in sustaining and overhauling aircraft components. Outside of work, Alex steps into his own workshop (aka his front patio) and works on modifying car components and electrical circuits.
Tutoring naturally came to Alex as he always looked to help his fellow peers develop their own unique
way of learning new material. Driven by his own learning struggles at an early age, he believes every
student is capable of excelling in any curriculum; they just need the right support, patience, and
engagement from their instructor to be successful. Alex has tutored elementary thru college students in
the states and students with learning disabilities during an internship in Spain. Alex is excited to help the
students find a learning style that works and build up their confidence to take on more challenging
courses.

Emily is one of our tutors. She is currently a substitute teacher in Duval County. She has over 5 years of teaching experience in K-12 and is very familiar with the current curriculum. She is an aunt to an army of kiddos and has always enjoyed helping them with homework.
Her grandpa used to ask "if I told you to go to New York, how would you get there?" you could answer a bus, a train, a car, a plane, you could walk, you could even do a combination. He explained that it doesn't matter HOW you get there, what matters is that you get there! She takes that same philosophy when it comes to learning. Everyone has their own style and different things click for different learners. She is very patient and more than happy to accommodate the student's needs, what works best for them and to help them be successful in their academic goals.
